The year started with success for Tamar & Tavy Gig Club with a great day of racing at Roadford Lake. The event is the first of 4 race days to be held monthly on the run up to WPGC 2024. There were 8 clubs in attendance with 10 gigs competing in races across all categories and organised by Bude Gig Club.
The first racing for some, with a special mention to our Junior Squad who finished in 2nd place – excellent result! And to our Women’s SV, Men’s B and Men’s SV crews who all finished in second place. Our overall placing was 3rd, losing second place by 2 points – next time! Well done to all crews, towers, coxes and supporters – a fantastic and promising start to 2024.
Next racing at Roadford will be on Saturday 24th February.
